Dr. Yingjiu Nie
After receiving her medical degree in China, Dr. Yingjiu Nie practiced as an otolaryngologist and helped establish that country’s first Early Hearing Identification and Intervention Program, dedicating six years to identifying and treating children at risk of, or suffering from, hearing loss.
Seeking advanced training in the field, Dr. Nie came to the U.S. and enrolled in the University of Minnesota’s PhD program in speech, language and hearing sciences while also completing its audiology clinical education program. In 2006, she completed her audiologic clinical training at the Paparella Ear Head & Neck Institute. She continues to work as an audiologist and research associate in the Audiology Lab at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Nie is looking forward to earning her PhD program in the spring of 2010, having completed her dissertation cochlear implants.
Dr. Nie’s clinical interests include implantable hearing prosthesis (cochlear implants and BAHA), pediatric audiologic treatment (including but not limited to hearing aids and assistive listening devices) and physiological evaluations (OAEs, ABRs, and vestibular testing).

Sara Lindgren, Ototech
Sara Lindgren will receive her certification as an Oto-Tech in October 2008. She joined the Paparella Ear Head and Neck Institute in 2006 and became a part of The Hearing Institute in 2008. She is currently working towards her degree as a radiologist technologist. In her free time she enjoys scrap booking, outdoor activities, and spending time with friends and family.

Tristin Santori, HIS
Tristin Santori is a Minnesota State Certified Hearing Instrument Dispenser. She joined the Paparella Ear Head & Neck Institute and The Hearing Institute in 2005 as a certified Oto-Tech. Her clinical interests include using hearing aids to assist with tinnitus management and staying on top of the technology trends and improvements. Tristin enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, watching movies, photography and collecting Coca-Cola antiques.

Jessica Holo, Au.D.
Jessica Holo received her bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences from Minnesota State University Moorhead and completed her Doctorate in Audiology at A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, AZ. She joined Paparella Ear, Head and Neck Institute during the summer of 2009. Jessica enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family in her spare time.

Hope Rowe, Au.D. Extern
Hope Rowe received her bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Central Arkansas in 2006. She is currently a student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and will complete her Doctorate in Audiology in 2011. She joined the Paparella Ear Head and Neck Institute in June 2010 as an audiology extern. In her free time she enjoys reading, movies, and traveling. She is also enjoying the experience of living in a new city and exploring all there is to do in the Twin Cities.

Jeff Hutchinson, Au.D. Extern
Jeff Hutchinson received his bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is currently completing his Doctor of Audiology degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Jeff's clinical interests include hearing aids and vestibular testing. In his spare time he isan avid sports and outdoors enthusiast.
